At Caley Hall, we always try to celebrate the many and varied things that happen in our beautiful North Norfolk village – especially those that our guests can enjoy.

One unmissable event in the calendar – going back almost five decades – is the Old Hunstanton Flower Festival – which this year celebrates its 50^th year!  Visitors have been coming from far and wide – many staying with us at Caley Hall – to see how the village’s multi-talented flower arrangers have interpreted the theme of the year

The event takes place over three days – Friday 25^th July until Sunday 27^th July – and this year’s theme is “Golden” to represent the 50-year anniversary – and there is so much to see – all within a gentle 10-minute stroll from our hotel entrance.

Start by making your way to St Mary’s Church – which is straight-on (slight dog-leg left) from the front entrance, where you can admire over 30 incredible flower displays.  Entrance is FREE, although donations are always welcome, and there is a raffle with a range of unique and exclusive prizes and a special Commemorative Programme celebrating stories from attendees over the last 50 years.  All money raised goes to support our two charities – St Mary’s Church and the Old Hunstanton Village Hall – which both do so much for our community.

You can then take a FREE shuttle bus from the Church to the Village Hall (or walk the 10 minutes across the village, back past Caley Hall) where you will find a wide array of stalls (bric-a-brac, pre-loved clothes and books, plus wonderful homemade cakes), fun games and an array of home-made refreshments at the Village Hall – afternoon tea, sumptuous lunches or simply a cup of tea.  With a fun dog show on the Sunday afternoon, and some beautiful church music on the Sunday evening, it is a fun time for all the family, and best of all is completely FREE to visit!
